BC Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke announced he is signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
The Canadian passer will compete to be Trevor Lawrence's backup. C.J. Beathard is the only other quarterback currently on the Jaguars' active roster.
Rourke broke out as the Lions' full-time starter this year, completing 255 of 324 passes for 3,349 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 10 games. He also added 304 yards and seven touchdowns on 39 carries. Despite missing eight games with a Lisfranc sprain, Rourke won the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian award for his efforts.
The Victoria, British Columbia native played three seasons at Ohio before being selected 15th overall in the 2020 CFL Draft.
