Egyptian FA hopeful Salah will be available for World Cup
Egypt fans, there's reason for hope.
After doubts surfaced that Mohamed Salah's World Cup could be in jeopardy following an injury during Saturday's Champions League final, the Egyptian FA is hopeful the forward will be fit to play.
BBC Sport's John Bennett and The Associated Press' Rob Harris report that following an X-ray Liverpool's doctors said the injury was not as serious as initially feared.
Salah and Real Madrid centre-half Sergio Ramos locked arms during the opening stanza in pursuit of the ball, and as the two players tangled, the Liverpool goal machine fell awkwardly. Salah was attended to by the club's trainers before attempting to come back, but he eventually had to leave the game.

Speaking with reporters following Saturday's defeat, Jurgen Klopp was asked if the injury that forced Salah off in the 31st minute could jeopardise his World Cup.
"It's a serious injury, a really serious injury," Klopp said, courtesy of the club's official website. "He is in the hospital for an X-ray. It's either the collarbone or the shoulder itself. It doesn’t look good, that's it."
Egypt kicks off its first World Cup in 28 years on June 15 against Uruguay.
