Salah available vs. Atalanta after testing negative
Mohamed Salah is eligible to feature against Atalanta on Wednesday in the Champions League, as the Liverpool star returned to training on Monday following a negative COVID-19 test.
"Mo trained with the team yesterday and looked really good," Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp told reporters.
"The test was negative - all the tests were negative - so, if nothing changed since yesterday, he is available. Now we have to see what we do with that because he was quarantined until three days ago."
Salah, 28, contracted the coronavirus while on international duty with Egypt and was forced to miss the Reds' emphatic 3-0 weekend victory over Leicester City.
He's been in sparkling form this season, pairing eight Premier League goals with two on the continent, and his availability marks a positive return for a side beset by a slew of injuries.
The six-time European Cup winners can ensure their progression to the last 16 with a win against the attack-happy Serie A outfit on Wednesday at Anfield.
