Neymar will miss the upcoming Copa America after rupturing a ligament in his ankle during Brazil's friendly against Qatar on Wednesday.
The Brazilian Federation confirmed the news early Thursday, saying that the Paris Saint-Germain star will not be recovered from the injury in time to participate in the tournament, which begins June 14.
It's the latest setback in a trying year for the 27-year-old, who also missed a significant portion of the Ligue 1 season and PSG's Champions League round-of-16 exit due to foot issues.
Neymar's absence will now deal a blow to Tite's squad, with Brazil hoping to capture its first Copa America title since 2007.
