Report: Guardiola eyes Man City exit in 2025
The countdown to Pep Guardiola's departure at Manchester City has begun.
Days after capturing the Champions League to complete Manchester City's treble, it's emerged that the Spanish manager will consider leaving the Premier League club when his contract expires in 2025, sources told Rob Dawson of ESPN.
Guardiola hasn't officially made a decision yet, but the Spanish manager, who signed a new contract in November, reportedly favors calling time on his illustrious career at the Etihad Stadium after nine years in England.
His seven-season stint at City is already longer than his previous spells at Barcelona (four years) and Bayern Munich (three years).
Manchester City haven't given up hope for another possible extension, but the club will respect his decision if he opts to leave, Dawson adds.
Guardiola was previously linked to national team jobs, both in Brazil and with the United States.
Next season will be Guardiola's eighth in charge of City as he attempts to add to the 12 major trophies he's won since he joined the club in 2016.
