Kante thanked Hazard on Leicester's behalf
On the heels of a stunning Premier League title, former Fox N'Golo Kante arrived at Chelsea with plenty of praise for Blues star Eden Hazard.
With the 2015-16 Premier League crown dependent on a penultimate fixture between Chelsea and Tottenham, Leicester City watched as Spurs' ambitions were crushed by Hazard's dazzling equaliser. Tottenham threw away a two-goal lead at the interval while picking up a record nine yellow cards on its way to a disastrous fortnight that saw title hopes turn into another finish behind rival Arsenal.
Kante recalls being among his teammates as the title race swung at Stamford Bridge on the first weekend of May.
"I was with the team at Jamie Vardy’s house and when we saw Chelsea losing 2-0 at halftime against Tottenham, we said, 'Now we have to be ready for the Everton game,' but at the end this was a very good night," Kante said.

The result meant the title was Leicester's, making a finale against Everton at the King Power a celebratory affair.
With the sheen of an astounding victory still fresh, Kante made the summer switch to Chelsea, and the French international was quick to thank Hazard for his pivotal title-deciding goal on behalf of a jubilant supporters base.
"When I saw Eden Hazard here at Chelsea, I said to him, 'You maybe do not know, but everyone thanks you.'"
A Premier League champion and member of the PFA Team of the Year, Kante emerged from near-obscurity at Caen to East Midlands stardom and his debut appearance in a major tournament with France.
Quite the year for the player, who may want to keep a few quid handy the next time he and Hazard grab a bite.
