Chelsea knew its fate well before a 5-1 win over Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, but celebrated the successful capture of the Premier League title all the same, with Antonio Conte's side in high spirits on a day that marked John Terry's final bow with the Blues.
Longstanding captain Terry still had one final duty to fulfill with his club of 22 years, however, as there was still a Premier League trophy to lift in jubilation. He and Gary Cahill jointly hoisted the cup for fans to celebrate.
It is Chelsea's fifth Premier League title, and second in the last three years.
Chelsea finished the season with a league-record 30 wins and a 93-point haul, seven more than second-placed Tottenham.
Conte claimed his latest domestic title and N'Golo Kante celebrated his second consecutive Premier League capture after winning the English first division with Leicester City last season.
In 2017, blue is indeed the colour.
