Report: FIFA yet to accept Leicester's bid for Adrien Silva
Adrien Silva's move to the East Midlands languishes in uncertainty after reports Tuesday suggested Leicester City's £22-million bid to secure the Portugal international has yet to garner FIFA approval.
FIFA has not accepted Leicester's deadline-day offer to Lisbon giant Sporting, meaning Silva cannot register with the club and would not be eligible to play until January, according to the Telegraph's John Percy.
A Leicester source concedes that the 2015-16 shock Premier League champion is still attempting to rectify the situation that was once assumed to be a formality with Silva agreeing on terms with the Foxes.

"We are working with Adrien and Sporting Clube de Portugal to overcome some issues relating to the player's registration and exploring all options to find a resolution," a Leicester spokesman said.
Silva left the Portuguese national camp to fly to England for a last-minute move that hinged on the completion of Danny Drinkwater's switch south to join Chelsea. Drinkwater's signing wasn't announced until after the transfer window slammed shut, further delaying FIFA's approval of Silva's signing.
