Lille boss Galtier takes dig at 'classy' Mourinho for double coach poach

Lille manager Christophe Galtier has taken a potshot at Jose Mourinho after the newly minted Tottenham honcho poached two of Galtier's assistant coaches.

Galtier spoke to the media Thursday ahead of a league clash with Paris Saint-Germain, briefly addressing the departures of Joao Sacramento and Nuno Santos amid rumors that Mourinho is also looking to lure Lille sporting director Luis Campos to north London.

"Everyone has their way of doing things," Galtier said in French, via RMC Sport. He then added sarcastically: "... It's really classy. Really classy to act like that."

Sacramento and Santos are two of several additions to Mourinho's staff. Fitness coach Carlos Lalin, who worked under Mourinho at Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, has also joined the fold, as have tactical analyst Ricardo Formosinho and technical guru Giovanni Cerra.

Galtier, who led Les Dogues to a second-place finish last season and a return to the Champions League this year, was careful not to use Mourinho's name when commenting on the Campos speculation.

"Luis is 200 percent invested in the project and I don't see a 1000th of a wish to look elsewhere. We're close and looking forward," Galtier said.

Portugal-born Ocampos is largely credited with launching the careers of Nicolas Pepe, Thomas Lemar, Anthony Martial, and Bernardo Silva, among others. The 54-year-old thrived behind the scenes as part of Les Monegasques' sensational 2017 Ligue 1 title before moving to Lille.
