Solskjaer: Pogba, Rashford available for Premier League restart
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that influential Red Devils duo Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford have recovered from injuries and will be fit for the restart of Premier League play.
"They're looking good, they've joined training now, and they've done everything the other boys have been doing. No reaction so far, touch wood," Solskjaer told Sam Carney of the club's official website.
Both players were expected to miss the remainder of the season prior to the league's hiatus.
Pogba has appeared in just eight matches in all competitions this term as he battles a recurring issue that required foot surgery in January. Rashford suffered a double stress fracture in his back in mid-January against Wolves.
"When we get started, it looks like we can have a full squad to choose from," Solskjaer added.
United currently sit fifth in the league table with nine matches to play, three points adrift of Chelsea and a coveted spot in next season's Champions League. Pending Manchester City's appeal with the Court of Arbitration of Sport over a two-year European ban, fifth place in the Premier League could be awarded a berth.
Solskjaer's side is also still alive in the Europa League, which is scheduled to resume play in August following the completion of domestic leagues, and the FA Cup, which remains in limbo while football executives prioritize the Premier League.
