Report: Leroy Fer fails Sunderland medical, will return to QPR

Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer has reportedly failed his medical ahead of a move to Sunderland and will return to Queens Park Rangers, according to Sky Sports.
Fer was close to a one-year loan move to the Premier League outfit after QPR was relegated last season. But that deal is now unlikely to go through.
He suffered an MCL injury last February, and while he returned to the playing field for the last five games of the season, it appears he wasn't quite fit enough for Sunderland.
This isn't the first time Fer has failed a medical. The attacking midfielder also failed to complete a move to Everton from FC Twente in 2013, joining Norwich in the summer instead.
