Following Crystal Palace's 4-1 League Cup third-round victory against fellow south Londoners Charlton Athletic, centre-back Brede Hangeland was among a handful of Eagles who opted for the train after the match at Selhurst Park.

The towering Texas-born Norwegian defender caught the tube from Selhurst Station in the heart of Croydon, South London, with a few teammates who were also attempting to blend in with the common folk.
At least one person was astute enough to photograph the victorious Eagles, though not so covertly as to escape the attention of midfielder Joe Ledley.
