Perpetually ailed Darren Anderton misses halftime festivities with injury
Longtime Spurs attacking midfielder Darren Anderton was scheduled to participate in a halftime crossbar challenge during Tottenham's victory over Aston Villa at White Hart Lane on Monday. Alas, the man affectionately nicknamed "Sicknote" pulled up lame with an undisclosed injury.

Surprising absolutely none of the 36,000 in attendance, a sharply dressed Anderton walked off the pitch under his own volition unable to partake in the entertainment at the interval.
Anderton, who spent 13 seasons at White Hart Lane, was constantly hobbled by a host of injuries that crippled his lengthy career and tenure with the English national team.
