Newcastle's Mike Williamson extends Wolves loan move
Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson has extended his loan deal at Championship side Wolves until Jan. 16, the Midlands club announced Tuesday.
Williamson, 32, initially joined Kenny Jackett's side on a one-month loan scheduled to end in November, and has made an instant impact at Molineux, playing three times for 14th-place Wolves.

"We are delighted that the deal has been extended and that Mike will be with us through a very busy December and Christmas period," Jackett told the club's website.
"Mike will give us some real competition and allow us to take our time with the players coming back."
In three matches with Wolves, the club has allowed only one goal, snatching four points to profit from Williamson's veteran presence.
"He has brought a lot of experience and physical presence to the back four and to the club and has helped the players around him at a time when we have had a number of injuries to centre backs."
