Manchester United's Anthony Martial crowned with 2015 Golden Boy award
Manchester United's blockbuster summer signing Anthony Martial was awarded the 2015 Golden Boy trophy Saturday prior to the Red Devils match at home to Norwich City.
The prize is awarded to Europe's best player under the age of 21, with Martial winning this year's award by edging out Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman and Arsenal's Hector Bellerin.
Martial, 20, joined United from Monaco for a reported record fee for a teenager of £36 million that could potentially rise to £57.6 million. The French international has bagged three league goals paired with two in the Champions League.

The annual prize was established by Italian sports paper Tuttosport in 2003, with voting conducted with outlets from Germany (Bild), Portugal (A Bola), France (L'Equipe, France Football), Spain (Marca, Mundo Deportivo), the United Kingdom (The Times), Russia (Sport Express), Netherlands (De Telegraaf), and Greece (Ta Nea).
Each voting member nominates five players from a shortlist of 40 names, with 10 points going to first, seven for second, five for third, three for fourth, and one for fifth.
Manchester City standout Raheem Sterling won the award last year while at Liverpool, with Paul Pogba, Isco, Mario Gotze, Mario Balotelli, and Alexandre Pato winning the five previous awards. Premier League stars Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, and Cesc Fabregas have all been named Golden Boy, with Lionel Messi taking home the 2005 honour in a landslide vote.
