Manchester United recalls Adnan Januzaj from Borussia Dortmund loan
Confirming Wednesday's reports, Belgian international winger Adnan Januzaj has been recalled by parent club Manchester United, prematurely ending a season-long loan at Borussia Dortmund.
Januzaj, 20, joined Die Borussen on loan in the summer, though with only six substitute league appearances for Thomas Tuchel's high-flying side, the young midfielder failed to impress. He'll now be recalled six months early, according to a statement on United's website Thursday.
A mutual agreement between the two clubs sees the Anderlecht youth product return to the side he signed with in 2011 as a 16-year-old, having made 49 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
The Brussels-born winger's career has been at a standstill since a breakout campaign in 2013-14, when Januzaj played in 27 Premier League matches under David Moyes. He started 15 times, with four goals and three assists.
