Andy Caroll to miss West Ham's trip to Blackburn
West Ham striker Andy Carroll will miss out on the Irons' trip to Blackburn for Sunday's FA Cup fifth-round tie at Ewood Park with an adductor concern.
No stranger to injuries, Carroll suffered his latest ailment during last weekend's 2-2 draw with Norwich City after coming on as a substitute.
West Ham co-chairman David Gold broke the news Thursday on Twitter during a Q&A with supporters, a day after revealing the towering English forward would be fit for the trip to Lancashire.
Andy has a slight injury and will be rested for the game against Blackburn. Lanzini should be available. dg https://t.co/7z4DubZr3U

This isn't Gold's first foray into addressing injury updates on Twitter, with the club executive commenting on playmaker Dimitri Payet's long-term setback in November.
Carroll's injury compounds a striker crisis at West Ham, after Enner Valencia also hobbled off against the Canaries and Nikica Jelavic signed with Chinese second division side Beijing Renhe earlier in the week.
Merchant of pace Diafra Sahko remains sidelined with a thigh concern, which will likely prompt gaffer Slaven Bilic to start January signing Emmanuel Emenike. Argentinian attacker Manuel Lanzini may be available Sunday after returning to training midweek after six weeks on the sidelines with a thigh concern.
