Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann apologised after posting an ill-advised photo Sunday depicting the France international in blackface.
"I admit it's inconsiderate on my part," Griezmann wrote on Twitter. "If I upset certain people I apologise."

The photo, which was posted on the player's Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat accounts, quickly came under fire from fans and pundits alike, and was subsequently deleted.
An hour after the image was posted, Griezmann attempted to clarify his intent in another deleted tweet, saying: "Calm down guys, I'm fan of the Harlem Globetrotters and the era ... it's a tribute."
