Report: Barcelona make Rakitic available for €20M
Barcelona appear willing to offload Ivan Rakitic in the summer - if the club's €20-million valuation of the player is met.
Rakitic is keen to stay in Spain, according to the Evening Standard's Ben Hayward, who notes a return to Sevilla could make sense for the Croatian international.
Sevilla are reportedly interested in securing Rakitic's services, though a move for the 32-year-old could prove difficult unless Barcelona lower their asking price for the World Cup runner-up.
Sevilla have reportedly earmarked €14 million for Rakitic. Hayward notes the player - whose wife is from the Andalusian capital - would also need to take a wage cut to rejoin the club where he spent three-and-a-half seasons prior to the Camp Nou switch.
Rakitic has become second choice at Barcelona following last summer's addition of Dutch midfield star Frenkie de Jong. Rakitic has appeared in 21 La Liga matches this season, including 11 as a substitute.
Atletico Madrid and Juventus have also reportedly been linked with Rakitic, though clubs across Europe await the potential cancellations of domestic campaigns and continental competitions due to the coronavirus to determine how revenue losses will affect transfer expenditures.
