Ranking F1 liveries: How each team looks as 2025 season approaches
Anticipation for the 2025 Formula 1 season increased after all 10 teams released their liveries Tuesday.
We rank each constructor's look ahead of the season-opening race in Australia on March 16.
10. Aston Martin

Aston Martin gets an A+ for its presentation, which was inspired by James Bond. The actual delivery of its 2025 car didn't receive a grade nearly as high. What was once a green sidepod has lost its fair share of color. The AMR25 leaves you walking away wishing for more.
9. Red Bull

Hopefully you weren't expecting anything radically different here. After all, why would you? Red Bull's livery has remained unchanged through the years, but this is perhaps one of the few examples where a static look is done right. Our big wish would've been for a return to a Red Bull- or Honda-branded rear wing, though.
8. McLaren

McLaren opted to not make changes to its 2025 livery due to its tradition of honoring championship-winning cars. There's certainly nothing wrong with the appearance of the reigning constructors' champs, but the reveal felt a tad underwhelming considering it was the main event of the F1 75 event and 2025 will be this version of the team's first constructors' defense this century.
7. Haas

Haas flipped its livery on its head in 2025. The white sidepods and nose are a major upgrade over the 2024 challenger, which was predominantly carbon fibre. The red trim is the cherry on top. This is a job well done by a team that continues to reinvent itself under team principal Ayao Komatsu.
6. Williams

It feels like Williams improved on its 2024 design. The iconic blue seems more settled, making it a pleasant sight to gaze at. Minus the Duracell battery airbox, though, this just looks like a race car. It's not a daring livery, but it's one that feels like it neither underdelivered nor overdelivered. And the Williams FW47 is a testament that, sometimes, that's OK.
5. Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton's first Ferrari, the SF-25, certainly attracts attention. It appears the Scuderia have gone for a darker red, which deserves praise. What's more disappointing is the disappearance of the gold trim from the SF-24, as well as the white features that seemingly serve more as a backdrop for HP advertising than anything else.
4. Sauber

If looks could drive, Sauber's C45 would be fighting at the front of the grid. While the vibrant green was a little tough on the eyes last year, the color appears more at home on the 2025 challenger, as it blurs into the back half of the car. Let's call this simple but effective.
3. Alpine

This livery might not be for everyone, but Alpine gets a huge win in our books for adding more flair to the pink features on the A525. What was once a boring, carbon-fibre-dominated car that looked like it forgot its colorful character has finally injected some life back into its design.
2. Mercedes

Mercedes didn't throw away the drawing board when it came to designing the W16. Instead, the Silver Arrows made a few slight tweaks to enhance an already superb livery. Redoing the airbox color from red to silver is a change that might be hard to pick up at first glance, but it adds a great finishing touch to this impressive look.
1. Racing Bulls

Every season fans beg for a team to make a bold change to its livery, and, well, the Racing Bulls delivered in 2025. With a new white look, the Red Bull-controlled team took inspiration from the universally loved RB16B livery from the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix and put its own touches on it. You won't find a braver and better livery than this on the grid.
