VIDEO: Javier Pastore's early strike secures 3 points for a dominant PSG
Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 season got the spark it needed with the capital side's comprehensive 3-0 victory over Guingamp at Parc des Princes on Tuesday.
Sounds bizarre, typifying a league leader's efforts as sluggish to date, but PSG has not been convincing in winning five and drawing twice through the Ligue 1's opening seven fixtures.
Javier Pastore's 18th minute tally was enough for the Laurent Blanc's table-topping side when the Argentine international's solo 20-yard effort eluded a lunging Jonas Lossl.
An Angel Di Maria 76th minute tap-in on an Lossl error put the match out of reach, as the Danish shot-stopper failed to control a Zlatan Ibrahimovic left-footed effort that the opportunistic ex-Real Madrid winger pounced on with little trouble.
Ibrahimovic profited from a porous Guingamp back four, scoring a third in the 83rd minute on a sublime finish that marked yet another milestone for the towering Swede.
That was Zlatan's 400th career goal. #PSGEAG

PSG can take pride in bucking a trend of poor mid-week performances with a valuable three points, putting it four points clear of second-place Stade Rennes, who host bottom-dwellers GFC Ajaccio tomorrow at Roazhon Park.
Laurent Blanc's squad had only won two of its previous 11 matches played on a Tuesday, drawing three times with six losses.
Mid-table side Guingamp never looked the part, especially as gaffer Jocelyn Gourvennec opted for a defensive side without the weekend's goal-scoring tandem of Sloan Privat and Jimmy Briand.
