Angers signs Denis Petric from Troyes to replace Ludovic Butelle

A day after star shot-stopper Ludovic Butelle signed with Belgian side Club Brugge, third-place Angers has signed netminder Denis Petric from Ligue 1 bottom-dweller Troyes.

Petric, 27, joins Angers on a two-and-a-half-year deal, the club announced Monday.
Butelle had been Ligue 1's standout shot-stopper this season, notching a league-best 11 clean sheets while allowing a meager 11 goals - second-best in the French top flight to Paris Saint-Germain's nine.
