Report: Morgan Amalfitano slated for Lille move
Out of work since being released by West Ham in October by mutual consent, French midfielder Morgan Amalfitano appears to have a found a new home at Lille.
Without a league appearance for West Ham this season, the Cannes youth product looks poised for a move to Les Dogues on a 2 1/2 year deal, according to L'Equipe.
Amalfitano, 30, joined the Irons at the start of the 2014-15 campaign from Marseille following a loan spell at West Brom, making 24 appearances for the club with three goals and an assist.
This season has been a different story for the Nice-born midfielder, who made four Europa League starts for Slaven Bilic's side, only to fall out of favour with the club, prompting his release in October. Amalfitano was disciplined for a breach of club rules by Bilic and relegated to training with the Under-21 side.
