French club Nice has loaned midfielder Julien Vercauteren to Jupiler League side KVC Westerlo until the end of the season.
The Ligue 1 darlings have not provided an option for the Belgian side to buy Vercauteren, and the 22-year-old will return to the Allianz Arena at season's end, according to the club's official website.

Vercauteren joined Nice in 2014 from Antwerp borough side Lierse, and was initially a member of Les Aiglons' reserve side before making nine first-team appearances for Claude Puel's lot.
Westerlo needs all the help they can get this year, as De Kemphanen sits at the bottom of the Belgian top-flight on 16 points through 21 matches.
