Serge Aurier banished to reserves until March as punishment for insults
Suspended and ridiculed for homophobic remarks aimed at manager Laurent Blanc and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paris Saint-Germain full-back Serge Aurier has been relegated to the club's reserve side until March 20.
PSG announced its decision Friday after meeting with the footballer and his agent earlier in the week to discuss a fitting punishment for the comments he shared through the video app Periscope.

Aurier will now train with the reserve side - which plays in France's fourth tier, the Championnat de France Amateur (CFA) - until Mar. 20.
Besides being banished to the reserve side, Aurier has vowed to voluntarily assist the club in other areas to compensate for his bigoted comments.
"At the same time, the player has offered to perform various actions in favor of Paris Saint-Germain Club Foundation and at the training center," the club said in a statement.
"While he hopes to soon celebrate with the supporters a fourth consecutive league title, PSG wishes to reaffirm its full confidence in his coach, his staff and his players."
