The club announced the signing, stating Garitano would be joined by two assistants who previously worked at Deportivo.
"Deportivo coach arrives accompanied by Patxi Ferreira as coach and Jose Luis Ribera as an analyst," the statement reads.

"Garitano, who as a player defended the colors of Athletic Bilbao, Lleida, Ourense, Eibar, Real Sociedad, and Alaves Deportivo faces his third professional stage in the dugout after managing SD Eibar and Real Valladolid."
The club didn't disclose the terms and conditions of the deal.
