In the ZIdane family, the apple doesn't fall far from the footballing tree.

Luca Zidane, the second-eldest in a quartet of football-playing offspring, has been called up to the Real Madrid first team for the European Super Cup final against Sevilla on Tuesday.

The French youth international will now get a crack at senior-team football after being named to the squad as a replacement for first-choice keeper Keylor Navas.

While Kiko Casilla is likely to start in the tilt between the reigning Champions League winner and Europa League titleholder, Zidane, 18, will get the first of many opportunities to feature for the same club his father did.

It was only a matter of time.

Real gaffer Zinedine Zidane is familiar with his son's shot-stopping exploits after bossing the club's Castilla B-team last season before being appointed as Rafa Benitez's successor.

Both Luca and his brother Enzo, 21 (who, like his father, is a traditional No. 10) starred with Castilla, and the latter was handed his maiden first-team shot during the club's 3-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the International Champions Cup.

The two youngest Zidane siblings are also in Real's youth system, though both Theo, 14, and Elyaz, 10, are a few years off from earning the same honours that Luca and Enzo have been afforded this year.
