England comes from behind to capture Under-17 World Cup
A year of youth excellence continues for England after the Under-17 side came from behind to top Spain 5-2 in India on Saturday to capture the World Cup.
Manchester City prodigy Phil Foden scored twice after the break and Liverpool's Rhian Brewster bagged his tournament-best eighth goal to lead the Three Lions past the Spaniards.

Barcelona talent Sergio Gomez gave Spain a 2-0 lead in the opening 30 minutes before Brewster scored a minute before the interval. That goal set the table for a dazzling second half with Morgan Gibbs-White, Marc Guehi, and a Foden brace in a 30-minute span handed England a deserved win.

The Under-17 crown ends a stunning stretch of junior triumphs for the Three Lions after the Under-20 side won England's first World Cup at any level since 1966 in June and the Under-19s captured the European Championship a month later. An Under-20 outfit also won the Toulon Tournament, the Under-21s made the European semi-final stage and the Under-17s reached the finale of the Euros.
England becomes the first European side to taste Under-17 World Cup glory since Switzerland won the tournament in 2009, ending a stretch of dominance by Nigeria and Mexico.
