Report: Barcelona hoping for €150M worth of departures
Barcelona are reportedly looking to pocket €150 million worth of player sales before La Liga's summer transfer window slams shut Sept. 2.
The club's efforts to move Philippe Coutinho, Malcom, and Rafinha Alcantara continue, while president Josep Maria Bartomeu would also consider bids for Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti, and Arturo Vidal, Barcelona sources told ESPN UK's Moises Llorens and Sam Marsden.
Barcelona banked €80 million through the departures of Jasper Cillessen, Andre Gomes, Denis Suarez, and others.
That amount is a pittance compared to the €230 million spent on Antoine Griezmann, Frenkie de Jong, Neto, and Emerson, and with the club perpetually linked with a return for Paris Saint-Germain wantaway Neymar, a surplus of cash wouldn't hurt.
Coutinho's name has been mentioned as part of a potential swap for Neymar, though there have yet to be any concrete offers for the former Liverpool man who was lured to the Camp Nou for a fee that could rise to €160 million.
Frequent Barcelona transfer accomplices Everton have been associated with a move for Malcom, as have Arsenal and Napoli. Rafinha is nearing a reported switch to Valencia should Los Che meet the Brazilian's €15-million valuation.
