Bilbao stud Aymeric Laporte suffers leg break during international
Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte's season is done, as the 21-year-old suffered a horrendous injury during Thursday's Under-21 match between France and Scotland.
"After the first scan, Aymeric Laporte has been diagnosed with a fracture-dislocation of the fibula and right ankle," Bilbao revealed in a statement on its website.
"On his return to Bilbao he will be subjected to further tests after which the extent of his injury and his period of absence will be determined."

Tough break for Laporte, who was having a breakthrough season with the Basque side, prompting speculation that he could be poised for a high-profile move to either Barcelona or a Premier League switch to a defensively dire Manchester City.
The young centre-back, who is eligible to play for both France and Spain, posted a photo of himself on his Instagram account following the injury.
