The Marlins dropped two of three games against Pittsburgh this weekend to fall to 4-11, matching their third-worst start through 15 games in franchise history. After playing 12 of their first 15 games at home, the Marlins now begin a nine-game road trip.

The Yankees have won their last six interleague games, second only to Boston (7) for the longest active streak by any club. It is the Yankees' longest winning streak versus the National League since a 10-game stretch in June 2012.

These teams last met in 2015, when both won twice on their own home field. The Yankees lead the all-time series during the regular season, 13-11, although the Marlins defeated New York, 4-2, in the 2003 World Series.

Caleb Smith made his major league debut for the Yankees last July and appeared in nine games for New York (two starts) before getting traded to the Marlins in November. Although Smith remains winless in his career (0-2 over 12 appearances), he tops Miami with 19 strikeouts in 2018.

Luis Severino has never faced the Marlins, but he is 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0/16.2) over three career appearances versus the NL East. And against the National League in general, Severino is 4-0 with a 0.91 ERA (4/39.2) over seven games (five starts) in interleague play.

Aaron Judge has batted .390 while hitting in all 11 games this April, producing the second-longest hitting streak of his career (14 games between 9/17/2017 and 3/29/2018). Judge enters Monday with five hits in nine at-bats (.556) against left-handed pitching this season.

NEW YORK (AP)  Giancarlo Stanton was the only Yankees bopper who didn't get in on the hit parade against his former team when New York played Derek Jeter's Miami Marlins for the first time.
Didi Gregorius homered twice for the second time this season, Gary Sanchez had three hits and three RBIs and Aaron Judge became the fastest major leaguer to hit 60 career homers, powering the Yankees to a 12-1 rout Monday night.
