Phillies' Peter Bourjos: X-ray on shoulder negative

Bourjos had an X-ray on his shoulder Tuesday which came back negative, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.

Analysis:

Bourjos left Tuesday's game with a jammed right shoulder in the first inning after making a running catch and hitting his shoulder against the wall. He said he hopes to need just a few days off before he can return to the lineup. Bourjos may not come back to a full-time role as Aaron Altherr is expected to come off the DL on Thursday and the Phillies will want to give him regular playing time over the remainder of the season.
