The Baltimore Orioles optioned reliever Yennier Cano to Triple-A on Sunday.
Cano owns a 4.73 ERA with a 1.39 WHIP and 31 strikeouts over 26 2/3 innings this season. The right-hander's only blemish in June was when he allowed four earned runs on four hits over 2/3 innings against the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old authored a combined 2.58 ERA with 8.8 K/9 and 2.2 fWAR over 142 appearances from 2023-2024.
The 2023 All-Star isn't arbitration-eligible until the 2026 campaign.
Baltimore recalled right-hander Yaramil Hiraldo to take Cano's spot on the active roster.
