Rangers to retire Beltre's No. 29 this season

Adrian Beltre's No. 29 will be retired by the Texas Rangers this season, the team announced Friday.
The date for the decision wasn't revealed by the club, however, the announcement could happen in June, reports Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Beltre will join Ivan Rodriguez, Johnny Oates, Nolan Ryan, and Jackie Robinson as the only other players to have their numbers retired by the team.
Beltre retired on Nov. 20 after 21 seasons in the majors, including eight with Texas. He collected his 3,000th career hit as a member of the Rangers in June 2017. The 39-year-old finished with 3,166 hits - 1,277 of those came in the blue and red.
