Ex-Braves manager Bobby Cox in hospital after possible stroke
Former Atlanta Braves manager and Hall of Famer Bobby Cox was admitted to an Atlanta-area hospital Tuesday, according to Charles Odum of The Associated Press.
Details about the 77-year-old's condition were not revealed, but he possibly suffered a stroke, according to MLB.com's Mark Bowman.
Braves manager Brian Snitker reached out to Cox's family Wednesday and told The Associated Press he was "very concerned."
"We know no one stronger or more determined than Bobby Cox," the Braves said in a press release obtained by Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. "Our thoughts and prayers are with him as he recovers. We look forward to seeing him soon and would like to thank the baseball community for joining together to support our dear friend."
Former Braves outfielder Andruw Jones tweeted his support for his former skipper Tuesday night.

"We want to thank all of you who have sent their well wishes or said a prayer," the Cox family stated in the Braves' release. "We know the power of Braves Country and we hope those prayers and positive thoughts continue as Bobby heals. You don't know how much your support means to Bobby and to our family."
Cox appeared at the Braves' home opener against the Chicago Cubs on Monday.
He retired in 2010 having managed the Braves for 25 years across two stints with the team.
With Atlanta, Cox won 2,149 games, five NL pennants, and the 1995 World Series.
