Major League Baseball's brightest stars will be heading to the deep south.

The league and the Atlanta Braves announced Wednesday that the 2021 MLB All-Star Game will be played in the capital of Georgia.

Alongside the announcement, the team's pregame celebration at SunTrust Park featured many of its former All-Star players including Hank Aaron, Chipper Jones, Tom Glavine, John Smoltz, and Phil Niekro before taking on the Washington Nationals.

The Braves hosted the Midsummer Classic in 1972 at Atlanta Stadium - later renamed Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium - and in 2000 at Turner Field.

The 2019 game will happen at Progressive Field in Cleveland on July 9 and the Los Angeles Dodgers will host the 2020 edition.
