Bauer creates giveaway after ESPN accidentally leaks his phone number
Cincinnati Reds right-hander Trevor Bauer's phone number was made public by ESPN in what he called a "massive screw up" during a Korean Baseball Organization broadcast Sunday morning.
Bauer was taking part in a multi-inning conversation with ESPN's Jon Sciambi and Jessica Mendoza via video call. The pitcher decided to make the best of a bad situation, though, by creating a giveaway that required fans to call his voicemail for instructions on how to win.
So @espn has just leaked my number to truly the entire world lol in honor of this...shall we call it...massive screw up...I’m doing a giveaway! I’ll be giving away a pair of signed cleats and an autographed baseball over the next 48 hours. Rules are in my voicemail! Good luck! pic.twitter.com/luEqvwGtxW

If you didn't try calling the former All-Star, this is apparently what his voicemail sounded like.
Got to your voice mail earlier. I left a voicemail too if you want to listen 👀 pic.twitter.com/ZWIqYdUzE0

However, the voicemail now seems to be full and the number has been disconnected.
