Cleveland Indians outfielder Franmil Reyes is being kept away from camp after pictures of him not wearing a mask at a party emerged on social media, according to The Associated Press.
Manager Terry Francona said Reyes will now have to be retested for the coronavirus.
"He's not in the penalty box," Francona said. "It's just the way we have to operate right now. So, hopefully, we'll see him soon."
Francona acknowledged that the 25-year-old slugger has since apologized for his actions.
"He didn't do anything bad," the skipper said. "We just have to live by certain guidelines right now."
Reyes hit a combined 37 homers between the Indians and San Diego Padres in 2019.
