The Baltimore Orioles are interested in signing free-agent outfielder Yasiel Puig and have made at least one contract offer, a source told Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
Puig could be a potential fit in the outfield with Trey Mancini out for the season following surgery in mid-April to remove a malignant tumor from his colon.
The 29-year-old Cuban said in April he turned down an offer to play with the Miami Marlins because the club didn't offer him enough money.
Puig hit 24 home runs and collected 84 RBIs in 149 games combined between the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds during the 2019 campaign.
