Friday's game between the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals is postponed due to two positive COVID-19 tests within the Cardinals organization, MLB announced Friday.

St. Louis confirmed two major leaguers returned positive results from tests administered Wednesday. The Cardinals also said players and staff are self-isolating in their hotel rooms while the team undergoes testing and contact tracing.

The Cardinals and Brewers are now scheduled to play a doubleheader at Miller Park on Sunday instead. It will mark the first time two seven-inning games are played, reports Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

MLB and the MLBPA agreed Thursday to allow seven-inning doubleheaders this season, effective Aug. 1.

Saturday's scheduled contest could depend on the results of tests for the rest of the Cardinals' players, a source told Mark Saxon of The Athletic.

The Brewers will work out at the ballpark, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. He adds that the team hasn't had any contact with the Cardinals.

St. Louis was off Thursday but played the Minnesota Twins on the road Wednesday.

The Washington Nationals, Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, Brewers, and Cardinals have now all had games postponed due to COVID-19. Philadelphia and Miami haven't played since Sunday after an outbreak hit the Marlins.
