The Atlanta Braves will become the first club from North America's Big Four sports leagues to allow 100% seating capacity full time since March 2020, the team announced Wednesday.

The Braves will resume normal seating at Truist Park starting May 7 against the Philadelphia Phillies.

"We have had great success welcoming our fans back safely to Truist Park," Braves president and CEO Derek Schiller said in a statement. "Our outdoor environment, the demand from our season-ticket holders and fans to watch us play in person, plus safety measures which are in place make it feel that now is the right time to get back to full capacity at Truist Park."

Modified health and safety measures related to COVID-19, which include wearing a face covering unless actively eating or drinking at a seat, will remain in place at the ballpark.

The Texas Rangers were the first team to allow 100% capacity for a single game when they hosted the Toronto Blue Jays in early April. However, the Rangers reduced the seating limit after their home opener.
