The Detroit Tigers and reliever Andrew Chafin agreed to a two-year, $13-million contract, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
Chafin reportedly has an opt-out clause after the first season.
The left-hander accrued a 1.83 ERA with 0.93 WHIP and 64 strikeouts over 71 appearances with the Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics last season.
The reported deal should help a Tigers bullpen that finished with the third-worst fWAR among teams in the American League.
