The Los Angeles Angels superstar and reigning American League MVP has just three hits with five strikeouts in 21 at-bats to start the season. He hasn't hit a home run yet over five games after going deep 46 times in 2021.
Ohtani did look sharp on the mound in his first start of the year, recording nine strikeouts and allowing one earned run over 4 2/3 innings against the Houston Astros last Thursday.
