Tim Anderson gets 3-game ban for making contact with umpire

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson has been suspended for three games after making contact with home plate umpire Nick Mahrley in a contest against the Oakland Athletics on Friday, MLB announced Saturday.

Anderson will be in the White Sox lineup Saturday because he's appealing the suspension.
The two-time All-Star was also banned for the first two games this season after making contact with an umpire last September.
