$1M for 30 GS
Wacha had one of the best campaigns of his career last season, posting an 11-2 record with a 3.32 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 23 starts for the Boston Red Sox.
The 31-year-old's reported addition bolsters a Padres rotation expected to include Yu Darvish, Joe Musgrove, Blake Snell, Nick Martinez, and Seth Lugo.
The Padres' front office has been busy this offseason, extending Darvish and reliever Robert Suarez, re-signed Martinez, and bringing in Lugo, Matt Carpenter, Nelson Cruz, and Xander Bogaerts via free agency.
