Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco is in the lineup for Saturday's contest following a two-game benching due to a clubhouse issue.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said at the time of the benching that it was necessary for Franco to learn to better handle his frustrations and be a better teammate.

Franco praised the organization for how his situation was handled and admitted he needs to do a better job of keeping his emotions in check.

"I've been with this organization for a long time, and I think they (controlled) the situation well with the errors that I've made," Franco said, according to Bally Sports' Tricia Whitaker. "I need to control my emotions better."

The 22-year-old added it's been difficult to not be on the field helping his teammates.

"It's been really hard, you know, not being with the team," Franco said. "I'm happy to be back, but it has been difficult."

The Rays went 1-1 in their two games without Franco in the lineup.
