Slumping Turner bumped to 8th in Phillies' lineup
Slumping Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner has been moved down to eighth in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Miami Marlins.
Turner has struggled mightily of late, hitting just .161 with zero home runs and RBIs over his last 15 games. The 30-year-old has a paltry .661 OPS with 10 home runs, 21 stolen bases, and 34 RBIs across 106 contests in his first season with the Phillies.
Turner had a rough night during Wednesday's loss, going hitless in five at-bats. He also failed to corral Josh Bell's game-tying single with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning.

"Obviously, I'm the reason why we lost that game," Turner said, according to MLB.com's Todd Zolecki.
However, Phillies manager Rob Thomson is confident Turner will find his way through this difficult stretch.
"We just sat him the other day," Thomson said. "I mean, he has to fight out of it. Maybe that's harsh to say. I don't know. But he will. I firmly believe that."
Turner joined the Phillies on an 11-year, $300-million contract this past offseason.
