Brewers' Uribe gets 6 games, Peralta 5 for brawl vs. Rays

Milwaukee Brewers reliever Abner Uribe was suspended six games, right-hander Freddy Peralta got five games, and manager Pat Murphy received two games, while Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Jose Siri was given a three-game ban for their part in a benches-clearing brawl Tuesday, MLB announced.

The league also fined Uribe, Peralta, Murphy, and Siri an undisclosed amount.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said Siri's suspension was reduced to two contests following an appeal and that the player started serving the punishment Wednesday, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

Cash added that Siri's penalty is "pretty stiff" considering he didn't initiate the fight.

Meanwhile, the Brewers said Uribe and Peralta also plan to appeal, per Rich Rovito of The Associated Press.
