The New York Yankees reinstated infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the 10-day injured list Friday, the team announced.

He's in the Yankees' starting lineup for Friday's game against the Colorado Rockies, hitting fifth and playing third base.

Chisholm had been sidelined with a left elbow sprain, which occurred during a slide into home against the Chicago White Sox on Aug. 12.

The Yankees had reached out to multiple doctors after Chisholm injured the UCL in his elbow. They recommended rest and rehabilitation for the 26-year-old instead of surgery.

Chisholm recently said he hasn't felt pain in his elbow since sustaining the injury. He successfully participated in live batting practice during New York's recent series against the Cleveland Guardians.

The infielder has played well for the Yankees since they acquired him in a July trade with the Miami Marlins. He's slashed .316/.361/.702 with seven home runs, 11 RBIs, and five steals in 14 games since arriving in New York.
