The Washington Nationals are promoting top prospect Dylan Crews to the major leagues, sources told The Washington Post's Andrew Golden.

Crews will act as the designated hitter for Triple-A Rochester on Friday then travel to Washington to make his big-league debut against the New York Yankees on Monday, Golden adds.

The 22-year-old outfielder owns a .272/.343/.456 slash line with 13 home runs, 68 RBIs, and 25 steals across two minor-league levels this season. He'll join a Nationals club that also features other budding stars in CJ Abrams and James Wood.

Washington selected Crews with the second pick in the 2023 draft after a stellar career at Louisiana State alongside Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes, who went first overall in 2023.
